The Providence Performing Arts Center was opened on the 6 th of October, 1928. The initial name of the place was Loew’s State Palace, before being changed to the Providence Performing Arts Center. The arena has the capacity to seat more than three thousand people and contains top class seating arrangement for the comfort of the audience. Following the completion of the place, it went on to become a major success, and came to be called the Jewel of Weybosset Street. The design of the arena was created by world renowned theater architects, C.W. Rapp and George Rapp of Chicago, United States.
